Transport Links
Being close to the very centre of London there is every form of transport very close by. The links below are a guide to the services with links to websites where you will find the up to date information on services.
Transport for London:
Contact Transport for London (TfL) via their website. Alternatively, live information, for buses, trains, underground, DLR and more, can be found using the TFL App. Alternatively Google Maps displays up to the minute transport information.
Bus Stops
FTW is served by two convenient bus stops. East bound service (Free Trade Wharf) is found across the Highway directly opposite the building. The West bound service (stop LT) is to be found on the Highway between the Phase I and Listed Buildings. Both stops are served by D3 (day) and N551 (night) bus routes.
Trains
Contact National Rail via their website for nationwide rail services.
DLR
The nearest station is Limehouse station c.10 minute walk from Free Trade Wharf.
London Overground
The nearest stations are, Limehouse and Wapping.
London Underground
The underground network can be connected to via the DLR, Buses or Overground services above. Use the TFL website or App for real time information and suggested best routes for your journey.
Airports
​The nearest airport is London City.
Further afield there is Heathrow, Gatwick, Luton or Stanstead.
Boats
​Thames Clippers operates regular commuter services along the Thames. The nearest stop is Canary Wharf.
Road Transport
Taxis
Black cabs regularly pass the Free Trade Building and can be hailed directly from the street. Alternatively there are several booking apps that can be downloaded and used such as Uber, FreeNow amongst others. Black cabs can also be booked via websites such as this or the Gett app, amongst others!
Addison Lee is one of the biggest taxi/mini cab companies servicing London. Bookings can be made via their website, app or phone.
Alternatively, consider a car share service such as Zip Car or HiyaCar.
Road Charging
London has charging zones for Congestion and Emissions. Up to date information can be found on the relevant TfL website pages detailing the coverage, zones, charges and how to register and pay.
Car and Van Hire
London is extremely well served for car and van hire with all the major providers running fleets in the city. Many also offer drop-off services. There are also many Man and Van services in London. Many can be found using services such as AnyVan.

Restaurants and Bars
There are hundreds of places to eat and drink in London and many within walking distance or short journeys on London transport systems or taxis. Time Out London is an excellent source of ideas and suggestions. Alternatively Google will give plenty of suggestions and TripAdvisor has many reviews. Sports and Leisure Facilities
King Edward Memorial Park

The park is located directly next door to Free Trade Wharf and offers tennis courts, an all weather football pitch, bowling green and a children’s play area as well as a bandstand and waterfront benches. The Park is wheelchair accessible throughout.

Residents have access to an on-site Leisure Centre, which includes a Gym, Swimming Pool, Jacuzzi and Sauna.

There are also fitness-related offers available to members of the Friends of St Katharine Docks.
Swimming Pool

London Borough of Tower Hamlets, LBTH, has a commitment to provide five public swimming pools in the borough. Not all will be open simultaneously due to maintenance and upgrades. Royal Foundation of St Katharine

Founded by Queen Matilda in 1147 and with HM Queen Elizabeth II as our previous patron, The Royal Foundation of St Katharine has served as a centre for worship, hospitality and service over many centuries. The Foundation is a five minute walk from FTW and has hundreds of interesting and varied events every year.

Post Offices and Post Boxes
For accurate up to date information on the nearest post box, parcel box, post office and more, go to the Royal Mail services page.Royal Mail and other parcel services will also collect from FTW and items can be left with the Concierge team for collection once arranged with the service provider.
